The Spanish Programme is based on the subjects established by the SEP. We complement our elementary education stage with a series of programmes which help our students to succeed not just in the academic aspects but in life as well. We use Enciclomedia in 5th and 6th grade.
There are four fully equipped classrooms with an electronic board (Smart board), a video projector and a computer; in addition, there's a surround sound system when using the Enciclomedia, which is a technological tool that motivates our students to look for information by themselves.
This also provides a mental and audiovisual stimulation and has a positive impact on the learning quality. The Spanish programme is supported by the Monthly Integral Method (AMCO in Spanish) from 1st to 5Th grades and six graders use UNO Soluciones Educativas that uses the Singapore method to develop mathematics.
Complementary Spanish programme:
- Olympics of Mathematics.
- Spelling contest.
- CEDAC - Learning centre by computer based on collaborative work to develop interesting projects.
- Aula24hrs online classes.
- Training reader programme by a circulating library.
- Active teaching of human values.
- School for Parents ( once a month).
- Music (Orff Kodaly system). Special music room. Open Music classes for parents.
- Physical Education Program
Regional Contests:
- Parliament of Mexican Children.
- The Olympic General SEP Knowledge.
International and National Evaluations:
- College Board. For students in 6th
- S.E.P. (PRUEBA ENLACE) Taken in 3rd, 4th, & 6th grades.
The English Programme is based on the concept of teaching English as a second language following a programme which was created to obtain two certificates from Cambridge University. The certification activities are supervised by the British Council Mexico.
After 3rd grade our students take MOVERS, and the second one KET is taken once they have finished 6th grade. These certificates are ranged level A1 and level A2 in the Cambridge Main Suite Examinations Council of Europe Levels.
We work multiple intelligences as well as the three paths of learning in order to develop critical thinking ability in our students.
The subjects are as follow in all levels:
- Spelling / Vocabulary.
- Grammar / Writing.
- Reading.
- Listening.
- Oral Expression.
We proudly support our teaching with the ultimate technology in our TLC centre where the students actually live an innovative learning experience.
We offer a series of open classes where parents can share all the TLC activities and be a part in the learning process of their children.
Also we offer Aula24horas web site service as assistance with homeworks with all you need to study and research.
Learning Centre by Computer (CEDAC)
Our students go to our Learning Centre by Computer (CEDAC) twice a week, this works as a support in each topic in which the teacher use the technology as a tool to guide his/her students helping them to build up their skills. We achieve this by using:
- Educational software.
- Teamwork to create projects by using the available software such as Micromundos Pro and PowerPoint.
- Word processors.
- The use of the Internet to investigate and look for resources.
- The use of Multimedia material.
- Stationary work.
TLC (Teaching and Learning by Computers)
The most innovative methodology together with great technology let us offer this unique room to which your children go twice a week. Work in stations is used individually most of the time so as to develop their abilities effectively by using different materials and strategies. Here, they can also enjoy music and karaoke once a month, so it becomes a Disco for them so that they can develop their linguistic potential in a real and entertaining atmosphere.
